Technical Superintendent - Panama

Our client, an international leader/owner in the dry bulk sector, is looking for a Technical Superintendent to join their team. In this role, you will work with both shoreside personal as well as shipboard crew to ensure the vessels operate in a safe and efficient manner. We are looking for someone with the following:

University degree from a maritime academy, relevant experience will be considered

Time at sea on bulkers, sailing time as Chief Engineer strongly preferred

Technically competent with proven expertise in developing and implementing processes with improved efficiency and effectiveness within the shipping environment

2 plus years of previous shoreside engineering experience, strong preference to someone with bulker experience

Experience with class, other regulatory authorities, must be comfortable with financial reporting and budgeting

Experience managing drydocks/shipyard periods preferred

In return for the above, our client offers an excellent base salary, potential for annual bonus, excellent benefits and paid time off. Foreign candidates working in Panama do not pay taxes. Our client also offers relocation assistance and temporary housing.
