Well Operations Technician I

Specific Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, trouble shoot, and repair pump off controllers which include but are not limited to Sams, Baker, Delta X, and D-jax.

Check fluid levels on producing wells.

Maintain a data base of fluid levels for each producing well in a field.

Perform artificial lift design using Rodstar V 3.11.

Perform well analysis including but not limited to problem well analysis and failure analysis.

Oversee well pulling and workover operations.

Operate and perform minor repairs on model D & E Ecometers.

Demonstrate proficiency with PC based computer applications including MS Office applications.

Assist in evaluation of chemical programs.

Through familiarity with all configuration of rod pumps.

Ability to perform electrical installations.

Take thermal amperage readings and make recommendations with regard to the necessary adjustments to pumping equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications and other PC based computer applications.

Team player willing to take active role in team responsibilities.

Excellent time management skills.

Ability to learn new skills.

Willingness to share knowledge with others.

Good written and oral communication skills

Ability to work on several projects simultaneously

Good safety and driving record.

Knowledge of safe oil and gas operations and procedures in mature secondary and tertiary recovery fields.

Follow safe practices with regard to oil field electrical installations.
