ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Conduct regular inspections and ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of a facility.
· Ensure the proper working of all electrical units and systems in the facility.
· Create maintenance plans and standard operating procedures, and ensure they are implemented
· Read and understand installation blueprints.
· Repair, install, and adjust all machinery.
· Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports to plan and modify maintenance activities.
· Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports to plan and modify maintenance activities.
· Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair defective equipment.
· Keep record of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in the facility.
· Comply with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, governmental requirements, and OSHA, EPA, and FDA standards
· Maintain and ordering for spare parts and equipment for replacement and ascertaining the proper documentation of the same.
· Install new production equipment.
· Service and maintain equipment including, motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
· Inspect and assess the functionality of Production machines.
· Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
· Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
· Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area.
· Ensure maintenance personnel are trained on safety procedures.
· Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
· Schedule maintenance activities and respond to emergencies.
· Supervise maintenance workers and allocate workloads.
· Perform LOTO Procedures (Lock-Out Tag Out).
· Oversee the maintenance budget and ensure costs are kept within budget while improving productivity.
· Serve as a liaison between the maintenance team and the rest of the organization, and advocate for the department's needs.
· Responsible for the Safety Program of Capital Spring (Forklift Trainings and certifications, Lock Out Tag Out, OSHA requirements, etc.)
· Familiarity & Implementation of Total Preventative Maintenance Program.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
· Knowledge of Microsoft office and maintenance systems
· Excellent Math, written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to carry out various artistries, such as machining, electrical, welding, plumbing, etc.
· Ability to lift, climb ladders, platforms, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery
· General Tools
· Forklift Certified
· Must be able to troubleshoot
· Good organization skills
· Ability to manage and coordinate work of others
· Other tasks as directed
