Summary of the Clinical Systems Internship
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our clinical team at Axogen. The internship will be for the Fall 2025 semester and based out of our Tampa, FL office. Knowledgeable mentors will guide a dynamic, professional, hands-on experience. The intern will get a unique look into the benefits of working within a smaller biomedical company, which offers high visibility within the company and exposure to a broad range of clinical activities.
The Clinical Systems intern will support a focused initiative aimed at strengthening procedural compliance and training alignment within the Clinical Systems Team in the Clinical Research department. This work is critical to ensuring that internal stakeholders are not only aware of their responsibilities defined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), but also properly trained to carry them out in a compliant manner.
Requirements of the Clinical Systems Internship
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; preferably in Biology, Medical Sciences, or Biomedical Engineering
Ability to work PT (15-20 hours per week) during the fall 2025 semester, during normal business hours (8-5 pm, Mon-Fri); specific days/hours will be based on the student’s class schedule
Ability to pass a drug screening
Detail oriented
MS Office Suite skills
Experience with Teams preferred
Project Details
Review Clinical Systems-related SOPs to identify and document key stakeholder responsibilities.
Cross-reference stakeholder assignments with current training records to verify alignment and completion.
Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to confirm awareness of assigned tasks.
Identify and report on any training or compliance gaps, and help implement solutions where appropriate.
Contribute to process improvement efforts by documenting findings and proposing streamlined approaches to SOP governance and training compliance.

Compensation
The anticipated base wage for this position is $18/hr for an undergrad student and $20/hr for a grad student. In addition to the base hourly rate, there may be a housing stipend available based on location. Interns who are 21 years of age or older are eligible for 401K.
