The Agent Commission Specialist will manage the accounting team in all functions relating to the agent commission statement and payment. This position handles all commission payments, adjustments, and inquires for GTC advisors regarding their monthly statements.
Responsibilities
Reconcile and calculate commissions due to independent advisors and affiliates
Process monthly payments to independent advisors and affiliates and ensure payments are finalized timely and with proper reporting
Prepare and file 1099/1098 forms for all independent advisors of the company
Onboard new independent contractors
Maintain good relationship with travel advisors to make sure they are satisfied with service and commission reporting.
Enter and reconcile month end entries for inter-company transactions
Monitor Service Desk and make sure all tickets are assigned to the right party and resolved the critical issues timely
Partner with the team and management by quickly bringing issues to their attention, working to understand the root cause and offering potential solutions.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
1+ years of accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Intermediate to Advance Excel Skills
Experience in Agresso, NetSuite, and TM1 Perspectives preferred but not required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
Critical thinker, with autonomy and problem-solving capabilities
Knowledge of the travel industry preferred
