Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Floor Plus More is a fast-growing wholesaler of hardwood flooring (finished and unfinished), luxury vinyl plank (LVP/SPC), laminated flooring and engineered flooring. Our company is headquartered in Clemmons NC area and cover a 100-mile radius. Very little competition and high demand for our products with strong partnerships with mills and suppliers and manufacturers.
We are searching for a highly self-motivated, ambitious Outside Sales Representative to join our team and expand our territory and client base. Individual needs to be able to network and cold call and visit with flooring installers, general contractors, and other customers to close sales and build relationships. You will be responsible for building your own customer base and maintaining and servicing those customers. Experience in flooring a big plus and highly desired; especially in hardwood flooring.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop new customers and negotiate prices, terms of sales, prepare contracts, submit orders, determine delivery date, and schedule deliveries with Office Manager.
• Work with the General Manager to determine availability of flooring in warehouse or availability of wood from our mills and determine dates for delivery.
• Make sure that orders are fulfilled in a timely manner with accuracy and efficiency and that quality of flooring meets company expectations as well as customer expectations
• Do measurements at times to assist customers in ordering correctly and advise customers on best products for their business
• Continually networking and cold calling and visiting customer sites to generate new business
• Develop and implement sales strategy to drive sales and monitor competition to maintain best practices and be competitive in marketplace.
Requirements:
• Must have outside sales experience in the construction industry
• Experience in selling unfinished hardwood flooring, or any kind of flooring like unfinished, finished hardwood, laminated flooring, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), engineered flooring, etc.
• Has an existing business relationship with general contractors, remodelers, builders, or similar
• Familiarity or experience with National Wood Flooring Association(NWFA) is a plus but not required
• Excellent sales and organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Has a valid Driver's License, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record
• Able to pass a background check and drug test
