Who we are

We are looking for new members for our Major Problem Management team!

With its headquarters in Braunschweig (Germany), the client the largest automotive financial services provider in Europe. Our client act as a global sales promoter for the brands of the group and support them in maintaining customer loyalty by offering a broad range of mobility services.

The Major Problem Manager (MPM) is responsible for the sustainable processing of (major) problems. The MPM ensures the effective and efficient implementation of the problem management process, by coordinating, controlling and leading the processing of (major) problems.

The MPM is also in charge of the regular communication between all IT stakeholders and checks major problems for compliance with the process specifications, including the initiation of further measures.

What you'll be doing

Reviewing resolved incidents to assess sustainability.

Conducting and participating in regular handover meetings.

Recording all relevant information related to closed major incidents.

Participating in Major Incident Conferences.

Creating and sending summaries of work results while monitoring agreed measures and tasks.

Initiating escalations as part of major problem processing.

Identifying, analyzing, and improving challenges encountered during major problem management.

Acting as the single point of contact, ensuring continuous and comprehensive communication of relevant information to all IT stakeholders.

Editing the functional mailbox for all stakeholders as part of the Major Problem Management team.

Checking all problem tickets and reviewing the traceability of rejected problem candidates.

Initiating and implementing suitable operational measures for problem resolution.

Conceptualizing and preparing Major Problem Management quality reports.

What you'll bring along

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Strong understanding of the ITIL framework and best practices, with ITIL certification (v3 or v4) preferred.

Ability to analyze complex technical issues across IT domains, including infrastructure, applications, networks, and security.

Basic knowledge of Monitoring Tools & Console, PowerShell, SAP & SAP ChaRM, Job Control, Server Operations (Unix, Windows, Azure), Network & Network Security, Storage, Middleware, File Transfer & Archiving, Application Support, Database Management (Oracle, MSSQL), and Java Platform (PKS).

Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to drive and motivate cross-functional teams under pressure.

Proven leadership and coordination skills to drive and motivate cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations.

Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Gernan
