1st Shift Slitter Operator Helper

Shift Options: 6:00 AM â 2:00 PM or 6:00 AM â 4:00 PM (4x10s available)

Pay: $19/hour

Job Duties

As a Slitter Operator Helper, youâ ll support the Slitter Operator with machine setup and teardown. This includes:

Assisting in loading/unloading coil trucks using a large overhead crane

Helping with machine setup and adjustments

Supporting general production duties as directed by the Slitter Operator

Youâ ll be working closely with the Slitter Operator, who is responsible for the full operation of the slitter, including:

Knife setup and changeovers

Operating and adjusting all machine controls

Completing daily production reports

Reading a tape measure with accuracy

Operating welding and cutting torches

Coordinating with supervisors and maintenance teams on production goals

Willingness to learn and grow with hands-on training

Ability to work in a physically active environment

Experience with overhead cranes and basic mechanical tools is a plus
