Bridge Design Engineer

Selectek is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bridge Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing cast-in-place and precast bridges and be proficient in AutoCAD. This role involves developing bridge designs from concept through fabrication drawings, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop bridge structures, including cast-in-place and precast bridges.

Prepare concept and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.

Perform structural analysis and design calculations for bridges.

Work with reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel, and timber materials.

Conduct bridge condition and safety inspections.

Utilize software such as MathCAD, RISA3D, and AASHTOWare BrR for structural analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Requirements:

Proficiency in AutoCAD for bridge design.

Experience with reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel, and timber bridge structures.

Familiarity with prefabricated steel truss bridge design.

Bridge condition inspection and safety inspection experience.

Proficiency in engineering software, including MathCAD, RISA3D, and AASHTOWare BrR. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).

2 to 8 years of experience in bridge design.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification. Pay Rate: $36.06 - $52.88 Depending on Education and Experience
