Your mission

As a Category Buyer Indirect Spend at Remeha, you are an indispensable link in the procurement of all indirect goods and services within our organisation.

You join our 10-colleague strong Procurement team for North-West Europe. Together with our Senior Category Buyer Indirect Spend, you manage the indirect buying for our offices in the Netherlands (Apeldoorn) and Germany (Rastede). In this role, you report to the Procurement Manager North-West Europe.

You collaborate with various internal stakeholders (Commodity Management Team, Quality, Supply Chain) in the Netherlands and Germany to manage existing suppliers, with a focus on improving performance and driving compliance. Globally, you also work closely with the Group Commodity Management Team to drive the implementation of key strategic objectives, that can vary from Supplier Revision to Sustainability Improvements.

This is a primarily on-site role, based out of Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. You are invited to work on-site, with the option to work from home when needed. You can also expect regular, monthly travel to our office in Rastede. We provide flexibility regarding hybrid work and support your home office set-up and travel costs.

Your key responsibilities

Execute and manage tactical procurement activities in the area of indirect goods and services.

Maintain effective communication and cooperation with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Support and lead procurement-related process improvement initiatives.

Collaborate in cross-departmental projects that contribute to organisational development.

About you

You have worked as a buyer in direct and/or indirect purchasing, or you have worked in a role in supply chain management in a manufacturing company and are eager to grow further in buying.

You have a commercial mindset: you know how to negotiate, you focus on results, and know how to manage relations with care.

You take ownership and are eager to suggest improvements.

You have gained international experience and are comfortable working in an international matrix-organisation in which English is spoken on the global level.

You have a driver’s license: in this role, you are expected to visit our plant in Rastede, Germany on a regular basis.

For bonus points:

You have worked with an ERP system: we use SAP, but any ERP experience is an advantage

You have formal education in a related area and/or you’ve obtained the Dutch Nevi 1

You speak Dutch and/or German
