Role Description We are seeking an Entry Level Estimator for our Lansing headquarters.

Working primarily in our General Contracting division, the Estimator will provide perform estimating-related work in support of the company's self-perform division.

In addition, the person in this role may provide some project management support during the course of their work.

Responsibilities Perform a thorough estimate take-off.

Analyze drawings and specifications and clarify contractual terms and conditions.

Represent the Company at pre-bid meetings and ensure bid requirements are met.

Builds and manages relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Develop appropriate pricing and schedule; put together scopes of work for all major subcontractor packages; coordinate bid-day support and bid-day delivery/submission.

Ensure a complete, responsible, and competitive bid.

Ensure that job cost and labor cost reports are reviewed and updated regularly.

Handle or assist with project management duties as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or other engineering discipline.

Related experience preferred.

Prior full time work experience in a construction company or completed internships are desired.

Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.

Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Ability to easily read and understand blueprints and specifications.

Assertive, highly motivated, organized and a self-starting individual.
