A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STERILE PROCESSING COORDINATOR

A Sterile Processing Coordinator starts and ends their day with keeping our patients safe and decreasing the risk of a surgical infection. They will provide guidance throughout the day to the Operating Room Team regarding the sterilization and decontamination of medical instruments. Additionally, they will oversee the tasks of the other central service/sterile processing technician.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A STERILE PROCESSING COORDINATOR

One year of central service/sterile processing experience required

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid WI Driver's license

Knowledge of sterilization method and aseptic technique

Demonstrates knowledge of surgical products, instruments, and equipment

Possess excellent organizational skills

WORK SCHEDULE

The hours for a Sterile Processing Coordinator can be variable based on surgery schedules.
