Job Title: Subcontracts Accounts Payable Associate
Expected Results:
Process Subcontract Payables ensuring accurate, timely payments to our subcontractor vendors
Maintain superior contractor relations and communication
Enjoy a fast paced, changing environment
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Activities Required:
Process subcontractor billings against subcontracts and purchase orders meeting specified deadlines
Assist in obtaining signed lien waivers and release of payments
Assist in the contract close process for final payment of retainage
Prepare and submit monthly DBE Reporting for TxDot or other agencies
Track subcontractor certified payroll reports to ensure each are up to date and submitted
Monitor that subcontractors are insurance compliant and reach out as needed
Obtain and monitor subcontractor preliminary notices for joint check payments
Assist with company AP department as needed
Qualifications:
1-3 years’ accounting experience in the construction industry
Accounting coursework preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently
Notary Public
Proficient in accounting programs and Microsoft Office.
