A Concrete Foreman oversees concrete construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities typically include:

Supervision and Leadership: Lead and manage a team of workers, providing guidance and instruction to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to plan schedules, allocate resources, and establish timelines for concrete pouring, finishing, and curing.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality of concrete work, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and safety regulations.

Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of concrete equipment and tools, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.

Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring that all team members adhere to safety guidelines.

Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise on the job site, whether related to personnel, equipment, or project specifications.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports on labor, materials used, and any incidents that occur.

Concrete Foreman Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, talented individual to join our construction company as a Concrete Foreman. As part of our team, you lead crews in the completion of various major concrete projects, always ensuring a safe and efficient workplace. You coordinate tasks for your crews according to current project needs, produce schedules for crew members, and supervise the use of machinery. In some cases, you may need to train crew members on safe equipment use. Our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience in construction, particularly with concrete projects. You must also possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Concrete Foreman Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate tasks and schedules for crew members

Supervise workers throughout the shift, ensuring safety, appropriate work stoppages, and organization

Resolve problems with projects, materials, and workers as they arise

Concrete Foreman Requirements and Qualifications

Five years of construction experience, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position

Detailed knowledge of concrete construction procedures and OSHA guidelines

Experience with blueprint reading, concrete finishing, and managing crews

Excellent communication and organizational skills
