Marketing and Communications Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Marketing and Communications Operations Manager ensures the efficient execution of daily marketing and communication operations at Cairn University. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment, the Manager coordinates project workflows, supports team members, maintains branding and communication standards, and oversees the implementation of established marketing strategies. This role focuses on coordinating tasks, maintaining quality control, and ensuring consistent, timely delivery of marketing and communications initiatives that support the University's enrollment, advancement, and institutional goals.

The Manager operates within the strategic direction set by senior leadership and is responsible for ensuring the Communications and Marketing Department functions smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement and coordinate marketing and communication activities based on strategic plans developed by senior leadership.

Manage day-to-day project workflows, ensuring that tasks are assigned, deadlines are met, and project goals are achieved.

Maintain consistency with University brand guidelines across all communications and marketing materials.

Review and edit content for print, digital, and social media channels to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to branding standards.

Oversee the maintenance, updates, and basic development of the University's website, ensuring content remains current, accurate, and aligned with approved messaging.

Implement digital content strategies as directed, including managing timely social media postings and digital marketing activities.

Apply existing University-wide communication guidelines across departments to support consistent messaging.

Consult with internal departments on communication needs, providing operational support for event collateral, announcements, and promotional materials.

Coordinate press releases, media outreach, and public relations activities based on strategies developed by senior leadership.

Manage the production schedule for recruitment literature, brochures, event materials, and digital assets.

Supervise Communications and Marketing team members in their daily tasks and professional development, providing coaching and performance feedback.

Coordinate branding and communication logistics for internal and external University events. Skills and Abilities

Strong ability to coordinate multiple projects and manage competing deadlines.

Ability to compose and edit written materials according to University branding and communication standards.

Solid knowledge of digital marketing platforms, social media scheduling, and content management systems (CMS).

Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills with the ability to work effectively within a diverse community.

Ability to use independent judgment in managing daily operations and resolving basic issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated attention to detail, quality assurance, and brand consistency. Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field required.

Minimum of three to five years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or related project management roles.

Experience supervising or coordinating a team is preferred.

Experience in higher education or faith-based organizations is a plus.
