Job Title: Metal Spinner - Manual & CNC
Job Type: Full-Time Experience Required: Metal spinning experience is mandatory - applicants without it will not be considered.
Position Summary:
We are actively seeking a skilled Metal Spinner to produce high-precision spun components using manual, PNC, and CNC lathes. This role requires an expert understanding of spinning techniques and a solid grasp of metal properties, tooling, and machinery setup. Candidates must have prior experience in metal spinning, along with proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and working to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual and CNC/PNC spinning lathes to shape metal from sheet or plate stock.
Program CNC spinning machines, including setting zero/reference points, tool offsets, and conditional switches.
Interpret blueprints, work orders, GD&T specs, and engineering plans to plan and execute spinning processes.
Design and fabricate custom fixtures, chucks, and tooling for specialized projects.
Use hand and lever tools to form metal over spinning chucks, adjusting pressure and speed based on metal type and part geometry.
Perform inspection and quality checks on first-run and in-process parts using micrometers and other precision instruments.
Conduct preventive maintenance, clean equipment, and document all work in production and quality records.
Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery issues as needed to maintain production flow.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure technical alignment and quality standards.
Operate additional fabrication equipment (as needed), including shears, welders, and machining tools.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in metal spinning (manual and/or CNC).
Proficient in reading blueprints, orthographic drawings, and interpreting geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong working knowledge of metal properties, lathe operations, and safe machine practices.
Ability to calculate parameters using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
Skilled in setting up
