Lower Lights Christian Health Center (LLCHC) transforms the overall health of Central Ohio, serving one individual at a time. We are focused on whole-person wellness, available to ALL in Central Ohio who need it, regardless of ability to pay! We served over 15,000 patients - with 40% being uninsured - and totaled 50,000+ medical encounters!

Operating out of seven locations, we offer medical care (primary care, dental, vision, OB/GYN, telehealth), behavioral health care, 340B pharmacy, nutritional assistance programs, and more. Working hours are Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday morning coverage.

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the LLCHC Human Resources programs. The position works with other leaders in the organization to assure staffing plans, recruiting and retention initiatives are met. The HR Manager formulates and engages managers and advises on employee relations task adhering to all state, federal and local employment laws and guidelines.

DUTIES

RESPONSIBILITY 1. Recruiting, Retention and Onboarding

Partners with managers to developing staffing plans for recruiting mission oriented, professional, and diverse staff to join the teams.

Works closely with managers to train and sustain proper interviewing procedures and processes.

Coordinate and mediate the interview process providing/receiving crucial feedback between potential candidates and hiring managers.

Maintain recruiting and onboarding systems.

Maintain compliance of all onboarding documentation required by state and federal regulations

Manage, disseminate and maintain Provider contracts.

Lead orientation and onboarding of new staff members, collaborating with each department to ascertain that new employees are welcomed and have a positive experience for retention.

Train new managers on recruiting process

RESPONSIBILITY 2. Employee Records

Maintain uniform and comprehensive employee files and records.

Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Create and maintain forms for compliance needs.

Perform periodic audits of employee files for complete and updated records.

Maintain confidential employee paperwork

Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion.

Process and maintain employee verifications from varying agencies as request and needed

Assist manager with updates of job descriptions to keep them current and with the changes in job duties as needed.

RESPONSBILITY 3. Employee Benefits

Assist in open enrollment for benefits renewals.

Maintain benefits tracking information.

Assist staff with enrollment with all benefits.

Coordinate health, life, disability insurance, and pension enrollments and communicates with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.

RESPONSBILITY 4. Employee Relations

Assist with interpretation of policies and procedures and guide managers with the process to administer any necessary discipline.

Assist with mediation of conflicts to ensure a consistent positive work environment

Consult with managers and work on any investigations following the necessary procedures for completing and closing investigations.

Keep abreast of changing regulations and work with CWO to update any policies and/or procedures as regulations changes.

Maintain legal posting requirements for all locations.

Plan and coordinate employee events to include annual meetings and other initiatives

Coordinate, track and maintain employee performance evaluations (90 day and annually) to drive a high-performance culture.

Assist managers with processing and managing leaves in a timely manner.

Maintain and manage all documentation as it relates to leave management and ADA requirement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in human resource.

Certified Professional with Society of Human Resource Management/HRCI - SHRM-CP or PHR a plus

Prior Human Resources experience required, preferably 3 to 4 years.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Strong organizational and process planning skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated.

Relates well to a diverse workforce; open to differences; builds diverse networks; quick to find common ground; treats differences fairly and equitably; treats everyone as a preferred customer.

Critical thinking to assist in Human Resource management; is a quick study of the new and different; uses multiple problem-solving tools and techniques.
