Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of strategic sourcing processes, including the preparation and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs). This role is critical in ensuring that our company secures the best prices and quality products/services while fostering strong relationships with vendors and contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Sourcing Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams to analyze sourcing needs and develop strategic sourcing plans that align with company objectives.

RFP & RFQ Management: Prepare, issue, and evaluate RFPs and RFQs for various goods and services, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and best practices.

Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors to establish partnerships that support the company’s strategic goals.

Bidders Coordination: Manage the bidding process, including coordinating communication between bidders and internal stakeholders, presenting bid results, and facilitating decision-making.

Price Analysis: Conduct market research to identify competitive pricing, analyze costs, and shop for the best prices on products and services required by various departments.

Collaboration: Work closely with department leads to understand their specific sourcing needs, assist them in their procurement processes, and provide guidance on best practices for receiving and sourcing.

Performance Tracking: Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, cost savings, vendor information, and performance metrics. Prepare reports for management review.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support a collaborative sourcing environment and resolve any procurement issues.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or hold a PPAC Designation

2-4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.

Strong understanding of RFP, RFQ processes, and experience managing vendor relationships.

Excellent negotiation skills and ability to analyze and interpret cost data.

Proficient in using procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, eSourcing platforms).

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of procurement regulations and industry best practices.
