As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and protocols across all operational areas. Your goal will be to create a culture of safety, maintain regulatory compliance, and reduce risk through training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of facilities, equipment, and job sites
Assist with accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Deliver safety training and onboarding programs for employees and management
Monitor and report on key safety metrics, trends, and KPIs
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections or audits
Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, recognition, and engagement initiatives
Maintain and manage safety documentation, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training records Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (Preferred)
5+ years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in Logistics
Strong knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations
Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 30/510) are a plus
