Our client is excited to add a Crypto Finance Manager to their Finance team. The firm invests in blockchain technology companies and crypto protocols. The firm primarily pursues investments in North America and Europe, with selective
opportunities in other geographies, including South America, Asia, and emerging markets. Their
cross-stage investment strategy emphasizes early-stage teams building public blockchains, scaling solutions, and applications leveraging public blockchain infrastructure.
The firm seeks to invest not only capital, but also knowledge and time to accelerate protocol or company growth while aiming to deliver strong returns.
Position Description
The Crypto Finance Manager will work closely with the Finance team, managing key functions including, but not limited to:
Managing third-party administrators to execute quarterly U.S. GAAP-based financial reporting and annual audits
Collaborating with internal tax and legal teams on the implications of complex investment transactions
Reviewing cash flow management, capital calls, and cash and digital asset distributions
Partnering with internal stakeholders to execute public token staking and trading strategies with external custodians and trading platforms
Creating fund performance and waterfall analyses
Assisting with quarterly portfolio company valuations and preparing summary data for partner presentations
Supporting Investor Relations with presentation materials, website content, and fundraising documents
Documenting investment transactions in coordination with deal staff and outside advisors, including closing and harvest events
Analyzing fund activities to ensure compliance with partnership agreements
Partnering with the CFO and VP of Finance on strategic projects to enhance team, departmental, and firm-wide performance
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Ideal background includes time in Public Accounting with extensive crypto or crypto-related client exposure, or a combination of public accounting and in-house finance experience
Demonstrated professional and academic achievement
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Education
CPA or MBA preferred
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting from a four-year college or university
Strong academic background required (minimum 3.5 GPA
