Job Summary

We are looking for competent and compassionate caregivers/CNAs to join our growing team!

The ideal candidates will provide high quality to our clients. Our caregivers must be patient, have a friendly demeanor, and possess excellent communication skills, while having the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

Maintain a pleasant and supportive attitude

Display professionalism, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills at all times

Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating

Adhere to health and safety standards

Help clients with prescribed medication reminders

Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

Plan and prepare meals

Maintain good time management

Assist with physical therapy exercises

Complete weekly grocery or pharmacy shopping or accompany them to successfully do so

Perform light housekeeping duties

Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Possess strong ethics

Eagerness to improve and continuously learn new skills

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties

Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day

Have a clean SLED background

Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends

Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)

Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

Supportive and compassionate

High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program

Take pride in providing high quality care

Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
