Warehouse Supervisor

Description:

The Warehouse Supervisor has responsibility for all materials (seed, packaging supplies, and other materials) stored in location warehouse(s), and focuses predominately on ensuring customer satisfaction during seed distribution processes. Responsibilities include:

Daily supervision of employees working within the warehouse.

Ensuring a safe work environment and implementing company safety programs.

Communicating with customers (as requested) regarding shipment departure from location

Making suggestions on ways to improve warehouse safety or process efficiency.

Implementing Remington QMS program within area of responsibility

Ensuring accurate inventory counts when shipping or receiving seed into the warehouse

Maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse

Maintaining warehouse structural integrity (including weatherproofing as required)

Maintaining climate control and or fire suppression systems (if applicable)

Utilization of a forklift preventative maintenance program

Establishing a work schedule that ensures that shipments are ready for loading based on customer requests

Training new forklift operators utilizing Remington’s forklift operator certification program

Monitoring pest populations within warehouse, and implementing a pest control program

Ensuring accuracy of row location information within RIC

Posting and releasing “HOLD, Do Not Ship” signs within warehouse (with QA Supervisor assistance)

Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work areaRequirements:

Agricultural background is beneficial

Computer skills required, advanced skills preferred

Understanding of seed production or minimum of four years of related experience

Excellent communications skills with positive attitude

Employee team building skills

Attentive to detail and accuracy

Well organized
