The Steering Software team is looking for an experienced Validation Engineer to develop and execute test cases, bring-up and maintain Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testers and validate new steering features and functions. This role is crucial to releasing high-quality software to our existing customers and new product development. Creating, maintaining, and scaling highly efficient and effective validation systems gives us more confidence in our releases and changes.
The Steering Software team is responsible for steering controls, ranging from low-level embedded drivers to high-level application logic. Responsibilities
Develop and execute automated regression test suites for the steering components and system firmware
Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to design and build full system HIL testers from scratch
Continuously analyze and improve regression test suite coverage
Own the validation release process for customer releases, including test strategy scoping, test execution, and sign-off
Create and execute board-level test plans to expose weaknesses or faults in the steering controllers
Create and develop HIL test cases to enable reliable and efficient validation Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
Excellent proficiency in Python and C
Scripting skills in other common languages are a plus (Shell, Bash)
Knowledge of version control (Git) and continuous integration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with the team
Knowledge and experience with automation and building tools are a plus (Jenkins, Docker, SCons)
Experience with Rust programming language is a plus
Previous experience in auto-industry or validating highly complex and safety-critical embedded systems is a plus
Ability to read and review electronic circuit schematics Compensation and Benefits

$111,200 - $433,680/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
