Seeking an Inspector for an electronics manufacturer serving the defense industry.
The ideal candidate has 2 -4+ years experience performing quality inspections of electronics components, machine parts and materials within a manufacturing environment. Industry related experience serving the defense industry is highly preferred.
What you will do:
Responsible for performing inspections of purchased and/or in-house machined parts, units, materials, equipment, all level assemblies, and quality control programs to specifications.
Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, BOM's, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems of in process and final assemblies.
Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies.
Reviews and reports performance data.
Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards.
Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance to drawings, customer specifications and workmanship standards.
Visual inspection for workmanship and print compliance using a microscope.
Maintain inspection logs and records. Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience required
Associate degree with 0-2 year's relevant experience preferred
Knowledge and understanding of different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.).
Knowledge and understanding of tolerances on blueprint drawings
Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs
Ability of using precision measurement instruments such as a caliper, micrometer, and applicable gages.
