Job Description
We are seeking experienced and certified Senior Field Inspectors to join our client's team for the oversight and inspection of Design-Builder's Work at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge. The role involves ensuring that all work activities comply with the Design-Build Contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed inspections and oversight of the Design-Builder's Work activities to confirm compliance with contract requirements.
• Conduct shop fabrication and field weld inspections as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• Oversee and inspect shop and field painting activities and processes.
• Ensure all work is performed in line with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) guidelines on erosion and sediment control.
• Provide part-time oversight of miscellaneous Design-Builder's Work as required.
Qualifications:
• Certification: Must hold a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Training: Completion of the NYSDEC-endorsed four (4) hour training course on erosion and sediment control.
• Experience: Substantial experience in similar bridge inspection projects.
• Painting Inspection: Must be NACE Level I certified or have successfully completed the SSPC Bridge Coating Inspection.
• General Certification: NICET certification or other recognized certifications, or be acceptable by MTA C&D.
