Trach School RN 1.1

The RN Trache School Nurse assumes responsibility andaccountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery ofstudent/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The RNTracheostomy School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare’s philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) wherepracticing

One year of school nursing experience, preferred

Completes tracheostomy competencies, successfully

At least one year of recent tracheostomy experiencerequired, unless approved by Amergis Clinical Designee

Current CPR if applicable

TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits
