Customer Service Accounts Receivable Specialist – Health Care
Monroeville, PA (On-site 2 days every other week)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
First week of training: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Are you detail-oriented with a background in healthcare, banking, or insurance? We’re seeking a Customer Service Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our Monroeville-based mail service pharmacy during a short-term workload increase — with potential to convert for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Post payment exceptions from worklists to resolve debit and credit balances.
Match and post payments to patient/insurance accounts using PDF remittance advice and banking system info.
Track and resolve forward balance transactions following payer-specific processes.
Review and respond to cash inquiries from collections teams.
Submit refund requests and research unapplied cash.
Communicate with payers by phone, online, or in writing to resolve payment issues.
Must-Have Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in healthcare, insurance, or banking.
Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to commute to Monroeville, PA for on-site work (2 days every other week).
Preferred Skills:
Cash posting experience in a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
Prior customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
Proficiency with healthcare reimbursement systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
