What we’re looking for…

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Undergraduate or graduate studying Education, History, Pre-Law, or related field. Experience in public speaking, social media management, writing, and/or education programming preferred.

COMPETENCIES

Passion for Education\: Intern should have a strong interest in education.

Legal Studies Not Required\: Interest in pursuing further education in Law is not a requirement for the position.

Time Management\: Intern must be able to work within deadlines.

Collaborative & Independent Work\: Intern should be comfortable working both independently and with staff.

This is a part-time, temporary position that will qualify for academic credit and run concurrent with the student’s Fall 2025 Semester.

What You'll Do:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Research & Content Development\: Assist with research, writing, and content development for educational resources and programs.

Guided Tours\: Facilitate partial or full guided tours for audiences of all ages.

Social Media Campaigns\: Create content and ongoing campaigns to promote Civic Education on the Court’s social media platforms.

Outreach & Promotion\: Promote the Court's education initiatives at off-site outreach events.

Administrative Support\: Complete administrative tasks to support daily operations.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking to fill the position of Intern in Civic Education. The Civic Education Intern supports the Civic Education Coordinator by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This role focuses on social media, tours and administrative support to Civic Education.
