What You'll Do:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Document Reformatting\: Reformat online versions of Supreme Court and Court of Appeals decisions (1992–2002) to comply with the Court’s Writing Manual.

Decision Publishing: Assist in formatting and posting newly released Supreme Court decisions.

Case Announcements\: Help format and post Supreme Court case announcements.

Appeals Decisions\: Support the formatting and online publication of Court of Appeals decisions.

Opinion Tracking: Log drafts of judicial opinions for internal records.

File Management: Organize and maintain office files for easy access and reference.

Document Indexing: Index internal documents to improve office efficiency.

Training Material Creation\: Develop training materials to support office procedures.

Legal Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and legal professionals.

Court Exposure: Gain insight into the operations of the Ohio Supreme Court.

Learn about the Supreme Court of Ohio by:

Observing oral arguments.

Observing and assisting staff with a board or commission meeting.

Meeting with Supreme Court Senior Leadership Team.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This is a part-time, nonexempt position that will pay $17 per hour to undergraduate students and run concurrent with the student’s Fall 2025 Semester. Intern positions are only eligible for public retirement benefits through OPERS.
