Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Pay Rate: $71,347 – $89,184 annually

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Editor to lead the editing and coordination of technical publications and accredited international standards. This role ensures the production of high-quality documents that meet internal guidelines, industry standards, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the editing and proofreading of technical publications for grammar, style, consistency, and accuracy.

Coordinate publication timelines, production processes, and content revisions.

Facilitate editorial reviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), including virtual and in-person sessions.

Serve as a liaison between authors, designers, illustrators, and external vendors.

Maintain content management systems and provide first-line technical support.

Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., ANSI) and update internal editorial guidelines.

Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align visual and written content.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of experience in technical writing or editing.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with CMS platforms.

Excellent editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Engineering, or related field.

Experience working with technical publications or standards.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator).

Experience with associations or nonprofit organizations.

Additional Details:

Minimal travel (0–5%).

Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for virtual editorial reviews.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to train and support others.
