POSITION OVERVIEW: The VP of Technology will drive the development and implementation of technology best practices throughout the organization.
The role will be responsible for leading and managing the technology team and ensuring all technology objectives are achieved.
Additional responsibilities include risk management, resource allocation, project prioritization, research, analytics and recommendations of new systems and software products/services.
The candidate must demonstrate a solid information technology background, with experience in both management and strategy development/implementation.
Recruitment - Actively recruit technology talent (i.e.
Developers, Programmers, Analysts, etc.) specifically focused on driving efficiency and quality control.
Actively identify candidates with applicable experience, a strong work ethic and robust background in technology.
Reviews Accountability - Coordinate and conduct team member reviews based on predetermined criteria for culture, performance, coachability, and areas of improvement.
Review cadence for new hires - 30-day, 90-day, and 6-Month Annual reviews for all technology team members Drive accountability towards project timelines and quality control.
Take proactive coaching and training measures if individuals are not meeting optimal performance expectations.
Strategy Planning - Coordinate with Leadership Team to develop growth strategies and technology objectives that align with overall business goals and strategic planning objectives.
Develop a multi-year technology plan/roadmap and schedule to ensure tech-related goals are met.
Work closely with technology team to implement the plan/roadmap effectively and efficiently.
Provide metrics and analytics to measure and review all strategic technology initiatives.
Develop customized IT project portfolios and ensure compliance to all strategy objectives.
Maintain knowledge of emerging industry trends and identify opportunities to elevate and support Vivid' s technology and digital goals.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: Training - Manage all training and onboarding efforts with newly hired technology team members.
Maintain ongoing training and development with technology team regarding capabilities, industry trends, and innovation.
Team Management - Clearly define both team and individual expectations and goals for the department.
Provide clarity of role responsibilities (both strategic and daily) for all team members.
Coordinate and develop coaching programs to ensure an effective and efficient working environment.
Monitor all functions of the department and ensure compliance to Vivid standards.
Administer work of all team members to ensure schedules and client needs are met.
Project Management Analytics - Administer and manage effective delivery of all projects within the defined budget and appropriate timeframe.
Clearly communicate and coordinate project timeline parameters within technology team and other Vivid departments.
Evaluate current technology systems and recommend modifications to ensure effectiveness.
Prepare project analytics and KPIs with the team.
Interdepartmental Work - Participate in client project meetings, marketing/digital project meetings as it relates to the technology team's involvement.
Manage project timelines, expectations, and deliverables with other departments.
Monitor everyday work of organization and provide technical support to all activities.
