Responsibilities:
•Reviews plans and specifications to become familiar with project scopes
•Ensures that corporate estimating procedures are followed
•Support and work with estimating/engineering/business development staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications
•Perform quantity take-offs and pricing of primarily federal construction projects
•Perform constructability reviews and develop draft project schedules as needed
•Support client presentations such as charrettes, design review meetings, and value engineering meetings
•Supervise junior level estimating staff or estimating subconsultants as needed.
•Good customer services skills â for both internal and external clients.
Qualifications
•Bachelors degree or equivalent from accredited college or university;engineering or quantity survey degree preferred
•Six to ten yearsâ experience in cost estimating for facilities/vertical construction or similar projects
•Certification such as CCT, CCP or CEP is preferred
•General knowledge of construction methods and practices and well-versed in cost estimating (MII/MCACES/PACES preferred) and construction scheduling experience preferred
•Working knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense or other federal agency cost estimating/engineering principles and best practices preferred
•Working knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
•Strong individual contributor who is comfortable and effective in working with internal discipline teams and external client teams.
•Good listening and communication skills.
