Since 1971 CMI has been providing quality design/build services in the Southern Maryland, DC and Virginia area. CMI General Contractors has provided high quality commercial design/build services for clients all over Southern Maryland, longer than any other commercial Design/Builder in the region. Our staff has over 300 years of combined construction experience and are second to none. Our typical design/build projects have included office buildings, religious & educational facilities, health & fitness centers, retail centers, warehouses, medical facilities, convenience stores, restaurants, fire stations, apartments, automotive sales, service facilities, build-outs and more.
CMI General Contractors, Inc. is currently growing and needs to add an experienced Project Manager. The Project Manager would be responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the management and execution of construction projects. He or she must communicate well with clients and successfully execute their needs. We are seeking someone who is innovative, hardworking, and motivated to do the job.
Responsibilities:
Work with clients to plan and execute projects to completion on time and on budget
Collaborate with Superintendents and the team to deliver successful projects
Negotiate and prepare subcontracts
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and billing of invoices
Coordinate and run OAC meetings
Develop and Maintain client relationships
Develop and Maintain relation ships with A/E team to facilitate construction activities
Motivate and direct team to deliver high quality, successful projects
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred
5 years of Project Management Experience
Experience with ground up, renovation, tenant fit out, medical/hospital, and multifamily projects
Experience managing projects valued at $1M+
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to organize project and information
MS Project and MS Excel
Experience with ProCore required
Ability to read and understand construction documents
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize duties to meet assigned deadlines.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
