Job Summary:

As an Excavator Operator, you’ll be a vital part of our construction team, operating heavy equipment—primarily excavators—to perform essential excavation tasks. Your role will involve physically demanding work, requiring stamina and attention to detail. You’ll ensure all excavation activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and with precision, adhering to project specifications and deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

Operate Excavators & Heavy Equipment: Skillfully operate excavators and other heavy machinery to dig, move, and grade earth materials for various construction tasks, ensuring quality and precision.

Site Preparation & Excavation: Prepare sites for foundations, trenches, utilities, and other structures by following blueprints and project plans.

Execute with Accuracy: Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to perform digging operations with a high level of precision.

Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance of equipment to keep it in top condition and ensure optimal performance.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with crew members, supervisors, and project managers to coordinate work activities, ensuring efficient workflows and that project timelines are met.

Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Keep Work Areas Clean & Organized: Maintain an organized, safe, and hazard-free work area, properly storing equipment and materials when not in use.

Troubleshoot & Problem Solve: Quickly identify and resolve any equipment issues that arise, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operation.

Documentation: Keep accurate records of daily activities, project progress, and any issues that arise, and report to supervisors, as needed.

Other Duties: Perform any other related tasks as assigned to support the team and project needs.Requirements:

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including dozers (GPS a Plus) and other equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with your team and supervisors.

Reliable transportation to commute to various job sites.

Ability to perform physical labor and remain active throughout the workday.

Strong time management skills to stay organized and meet deadlines.
