About the Role
DigiLens is seeking a bright, self-driven, and independent-thinking Electrical Engineer to join the R&D team at DigiLens. As part of the team, you will be responsible for the electrical engineering design and development of electrical systems for the DigiLens ARGO and other products. In your role, you will conduct thorough testing and validation of designs and prototypes to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety. Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Design and develop electronic systems.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of designs and prototypes to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety.
Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure system stability and performance.
Collaborate closely with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards, as well as the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate design details, test results, and project progress.
Ensure that the designs and systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
The following qualifications, skills, and experience are required:
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
Between three and five years of industry experience in electrical design.
Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
Experience working with multiple of these technologies: display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC and PMIC, or Battery Management System.
Experience with high-speed signaling over DP, MIPI, HDMI, and USB SS.
Experience in the design of battery-operated systems, including chargers, fuel gauges, and battery protection circuits.
Knowledge of layout strategies and tradeoffs for linear and switching power supply circuits, EMI mitigation, high-speed signal integrity, and power delivery networks.
Experience with the use of oscilloscopes, high-speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, function generators, and thermal chambers.
Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.
Quickly learns new technologies.
Self-driven and motivated, with the ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Strong customer-focused attitude.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Experience
The following qualifications, skills, and experience are (highly) preferred:
Testing and debugging optical systems and optoelectronic assemblies, with prior experience working with a range of detectors and light sources, such as photodiodes (PDs), light-emitting diodes (LEDs), laser diodes, and related assemblies, is a significant advantage.
Working on Qualcomm platforms is a big plus.
Experience in wearable technologies.
Experience working with contract manufacturers.
Experience shipping high-volume consumer devices.
