Mechanical Design Engineer

VOSS Automotive, a leading global supplier to on-highway and off-road OEM's in the design and manufacture of Diesel Exhaust Fluid Lines, Coolant Lines, Air Suspension Lines and Fittings, Fuel Lines and Fittings and Quick Connect and Accessories, is expanding its workforce and has the following position open at its North American Headquarters.

Reports to: Tooling Supervisor

This Design Engineer will support the Engineering Department by performing the following duties:

Job Duties:

Responsible for planning the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.

Responsible for the design of new tooling for production processes and components for production equipment in NAFTA production and prototype facilities.

Responsible for the launch of new processes and equipment into NAFTA production and prototype facilities

Assist production by providing necessary launch and continuous improvement support.

Lower the cost of production by eliminating wastes in both manpower and materials.

Provide budgetary costing for quick customer discussions

Create Bills of Materials and Routings in ERP system.

Responsible for the development, procurement and implementation of tooling, gauging, and manufacturing equipment for new projects.

Work with other VOSS locations to develop, improve and implement new tooling and/or production processes and equipment.

Work with external suppliers (USA based or abroad) to develop and fabricate new tooling for existing or new production processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's of Science in Engineering; 2 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
