Job Description
We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on IT Systems & Network Administrator to serve as the lead onsite resource for a client.
This role is both operational and supervisory
Act as the single point of contact for all IT-related matters supporting City staff, coordinating with vendors, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering both immediate troubleshooting and long-term system improvements
Configure, troubleshoot, install, secure, and support the City’s IT infrastructure, including user workstations, servers, backups, network devices, cybersecurity tools, and communications systems

Educational Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Equivalent certifications and hands-on experience may substitute for formal education.
Must Have Skills:
5+ years of hands-on IT support experience in infrastructure, desktop support, and network systems.
Must have supported an organization with multiple servers, 100+ users, and diverse hardware/software systems
Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Hypervisors (VMware or Hyper-V), and endpoint device management.
Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, printers, phones, and network issues.
Direct experience with backup systems, disaster recovery planning, and patch management.
Proven ability to support third-party applications, manage licenses, and coordinate with vendor support teams.
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, antivirus tools, and policy compliance
Ability to create and manage end user accounts, reset passwords, set up workstations, and provide user training.
Willingness to work in a 24/7/365 support model, including on-call rotation and emergencies.
Knowledge of ticketing systems, issue tracking, and user-facing IT communications
This role requires access to systems that handle sensitive criminal justice information. As such, the selected candidate must complete CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) clearance, which includes a fingerprint-based FBI background check and security awareness training.
