JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant

REQUISITION #: NCR-1378-25-HQ

LOCATION: Fairfax, VA (Hybrid)

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring a Senior Accountant to support the CFO and corporate accounting department. This position will work a hybrid schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Set up and maintain projects, modifications, billing formulas, revenue formulas, labor categories, labor rates and employee workforce.

Develop customer invoices – for all contract types: fixed price, cost plus, and T&M.

Perform all activities necessary to process an accurate and timely payroll.

Reconcile payroll to the accounting system.

Create and maintain all required payroll reports including journal entries and reconciliations.

General Ledger analysis and reconciliations: prepare month-end adjusting journal entries – depreciation, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, etc.

Prepare annual and ad hoc reports as required by management, auditors, and external agencies.

Set up Purchase Orders and process PO vouchers.

Process miscellaneous accounts payable and review vendor bills for accuracy.

Support employees with timesheet, and expense reports issues.

Lead or collaborate with other team members or departments on complex projects and initiatives, research, and system related tasks as assigned.

Work on projects as assigned by the CFO

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Deltek Costpoint experience required

Understanding of DCAA, GSA and FAR as it relates to accounting

Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting principles

Specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems

Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance

Five or more years of related experience

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment

Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications especially Excel spreadsheets, (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
