Material Planner/Scheduler

Job Description

Southeastern Tool & Die, a family owned manufacturer located in Aberdeen, NC has an immediate opening for an entry level Scheduler/Planner.

Overall Responsibilities :

Provides support to all customers and relates issues to Program Manager. Assists in the customer service operations, including but not limited to acting as liaison between production, shipping, inventory and customers to provide excellent service and on time delivery of quality parts to customer specification and requirements. Must apply attention to detail, noting and inquiring when oddities occur. Forecasts, plans and schedules jobs and releases product to appropriate production department(s); resolves issues and reviewing factors effecting schedules; report status of manufacturing jobs to other department(s) including Program Manager and Plant/Production Manager.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with customer service responsibilities to include; create reports in Epicor 9 system to include: job travelers (produced within 24hours of receipt/input of customer purchase order), packers; monitor progress of jobs in Epicor and monitor closing of jobs;

Set up jobs to replace all inventories based on TimePhase, pulls, shipments and daily needs report;

Generate report to track on-time delivery record; customer sales; open purchase order report; and ‘jobs to be’ report;

Input inventory information, and confirm physical inventory when needed

Communicate honestly and timely (within 24 hours) with customers of inquiry or purchase order generated by EDI, facsimile or telephone

Act as liaison between all departments to deliver quality parts to meet customer specifications and requirements

Pull reports for order backlogs for each customer “jobs to be report” daily.

Strong initiative, problem solving and attention to detail

Excellent organization, planning, project management, time management and prioritization skills

Proficient Microsoft Excel skills

Education Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Associate Degree in Business Discipline and/or a combination of certification and at least 2 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus, not required!

Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and write reports

No phone calls or walk-ins please.

7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday

Pay:

$18.00/hour
