Description
TEKsystems is partnering with an end-client on a Network Transformation across 500+ locations. The project will consist of supporting a variety of install projects ranging from small sites of 5-10 users to larger office locations of 1000+ users and all of the infrastructure supporting each site. As the network changes start to happen, there will be an increased need of support for over 40,000 employees across the State of Arizona.
NOC Techs will be a part of team that supports the live network for the end-customer. They will be responsible for managing the ticket queue, Solarwinds monitoring platform, and incoming email and phone calls.
- Troubleshooting of network elements like routers and switches and wireless access points
- Phone MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes) within Cisco CallManager
- Escalating of network service issues to Service Provider
- Staging and configuration of hardware for deployment
- Escalation of issues to engineering groups as appropriate

TEKsystems is seeking NOC Technicians to support a long-term network deployment initiative with a Fortune 500 integrator and a high-profile end client here in Arizona. The ideal candidate will have spent recent time in an enterprise Network Operations Center, supporting a Cisco-centric network. Familiarity with troubleshooting LAN/WAN, VoIP and Wireless networks. CCNA certification a huge plus.

Work Environment

Training will be for sure 100% on site once a candidate is cleared to start. Potential for remote work after ramped up.

This will be a fast-paced and very dynamic work environment once the Network Transformation is under way. Working with a high-profile client, being the State of Arizona agencies, professionalism and timely communication is critical to project success.

Internal: With the additional changes happening on the network, the expectation for more incoming tickets and phone calls is there.
External: Focus and communication surrounding what needs to occur for a migration/implementation to occur will mitigate numerous issues, allowing the site to be transformed timely, enabling the agency to continue to work.
Business Challenge
Lumen is embarking on a new phase of their managed services contract supporting the State of Arizona network. With the new phase of managed services, comes a Network Transformation initiative to replace aging infrastructure across all physical agency locations.
