Integrity Trade Services is currently hiring for CNC Machine Operators in Addison and Lombard, IL,

All shifts available - Monday to Friday

1st shift 6am-2:30pm

2nd shift 2:30pm-11pm

3rd shift 11pm to 7pm

Pay rate is between $20-$35 depending on experience

MUST HAVE EXPERINCE WITH MILLING, TOOTH GRINDING OR HOBBING

A CNC Machine Operator in Gear Manufacturing is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines used in the production of gears. Job Summary:

The CNC Machine Operator in Gear Manufacturing will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision gears according to design specifications. The operator will ensure that gears meet quality standards and production schedules while maintaining machine efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation: Set up CNC machines (such as CNC lathes, milling machines, and gear cutting machines) to produce gears based on specifications.

Programming: Load and input programs into CNC machines, or create custom programs using CAD/CAM software when necessary.

Monitoring & Quality Control: Monitor the machine’s operation to ensure accurate and consistent gear production, ensuring all parts meet the specified tolerances.

Tooling & Maintenance: Change cutting tools and conduct routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure proper gear dimensions and material specifications.

Measuring & Inspection: Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, and gear measurement instruments) to inspect parts and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and address any issues with the CNC machine or the gear cutting process. This includes identifying machine malfunctions and making adjustments to correct them.

Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.

Documentation: Maintain records of production runs, material usage, machine maintenance, and inspection results.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any production challenges.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a CNC machine operator, ideally in a gear manufacturing or similar precision machining environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including familiarity with CNC programming languages and software. Experience with gear-cutting techniques is a plus.

Knowledge of Gears: Understanding of gear types, specifications, and manufacturing processes (such as hobbing, broaching, and gear grinding).

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and accuracy in all tasks, ensuring that gears are produced to strict specifications.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations related to gear dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.Education & Certifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training or certification in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field is a plus.

Certifications: Certifications such as CNC programming, machining, or gear manufacturing (e.g., from NIMS or similar organizations) may be preferred.Work Environment:

Typically works in a manufacturing plant or workshop environment.

May involve working with heavy machinery and cutting tools.

Shift work and overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.Physical Demands:

Standing for long periods.

Lifting and moving heavy materials or parts.

IL Paid Leave for All WorkersAn employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act. The 12 month accrual period is considered to begin for new employees on the employees first day of employment. An employee is entitled to begin using earned and accrued paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment. Paid leave under this Act shall accrue at the rate of one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours of paid leave

401(k) with company match for eligible employees.Eligibility: Active employees with one year of work and during that one year has completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age. Entry dates into the 401(k) are: 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing 1,000 hours of work.

The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution. As well as, match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
