Production Manager
A large-scale industrial facility is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to lead operations across key processing areas. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production, driving performance in high-heat systems, and ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental protocols. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Direct all production functions related to raw materials processing, kiln systems, finish grinding, and related support equipment.
Safety & Compliance: Uphold and enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Lead safety meetings and routine compliance inspections.
Shutdown Coordination: Oversee maintenance and scheduled shutdowns, ensuring timely and cost-efficient completion.
Performance Goals: Achieve production targets while upholding quality, efficiency, and safety benchmarks.
Team Leadership: Guide production teams by setting clear priorities, managing performance, and developing workforce capabilities.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, quality control, and engineering to ensure cohesive operations.
Budget Oversight: Plan and manage operational budgets and forecasts for production-related expenses.
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, propose technical solutions, and lead improvement initiatives.
Labor Relations: Participate in contract administration, including handling grievances and disciplinary matters as applicable.
Reporting & Analysis: Review daily production reports to monitor trends, track issues, and implement corrective measures.
After-Hours Support: Provide technical assistance during off-hours when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field – or equivalent hands-on experience.
10+ years of experience in industrial or processing environments such as cement, power generation, refining, or mining.
Strong knowledge of pyro-processing and high-temperature system operations.
Proven leadership in team management, goal setting, and coaching.
Skilled in troubleshooting, data analysis, and process optimization.
Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication skills for interdepartmental coordination.
