Maintenance Manager
A heavy industrial facility is hiring a Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance. This leader will be responsible for coordinating maintenance strategy, directing daily operations, and ensuring safe, reliable plant performance. The role involves hands-on leadership, long-term planning, and cross-functional collaboration to drive equipment reliability and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Oversight: Lead the development and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment efficiency.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a skilled maintenance crew. Set goals, provide guidance, and foster a culture of accountability and safety.
Project Management: Supervise maintenance-related projects, including upgrades and planned outages. Align schedules with plant production and capital efforts.
Resource Allocation: Manage budgets and assign maintenance resources to maximize value and control costs.
Operational Reliability: Support reliability engineering efforts, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure that maintenance practices align with safety standards, internal protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Skills Development: Build a technically strong team through training, coaching, and succession planning.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical focus strongly preferred).
5+ years of industrial maintenance leadership experience, ideally within a process-driven or manufacturing environment.
Proven background in managing heavy mechanical systems and electrical infrastructure.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with maintenance systems and software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, CMMS platforms, project management tools).
Familiarity with project budgeting, vendor coordination, and contract administration.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $150,000 – $170,000 annually.
