Commercial Superintendent
Location: Punta Gorda, Florida
Salary: $100,000–$125,000 (based on experience)
Type: Full-Time
Why This Role Might Be Exactly What You’ve Been Looking For
You’ve built a career out of running jobs the right way. You don’t cut corners. You know how to keep subs moving, keep the schedule tight, and still have trades shake your hand at the end of a project. Sound like you? Good. We’re working with a GC that actually respects the role of the Superintendent—and that’s a rare thing these days.
This company has carved out a reputation in commercial work by simply being solid—ground-up builds, retail, industrial, tenant improvement, you name it. They win repeat work because they treat clients and crews like partners. And they give their supers the autonomy to do what they do best: lead from the front.
What You’ll Be Running
Ground-up commercial projects, typically in the $5–$30M range
Managing site logistics, subcontractor coordination, and safety enforcement
Leading daily huddles, tracking progress against the schedule, and flagging issues early
Working closely with the PM and PE team to keep everything aligned—no surprises
Representing the builder on-site and being the go-to for trades, inspectors, and ownership
What They’re Looking For
You’ve run at least a few commercial projects from start to finish
You know how to read plans inside out and coordinate a dozen moving parts
You’ve got that sixth sense for jobsite rhythm—knowing when to push, when to pivot
OSHA-30 and current safety certifications (or willing to get them quickly)
Bonus if you’ve done tilt-up, retail, or light industrial work
What’s In It for You
You won’t be babysat. If you know how to run a site, you’ll be trusted to do it
Solid pipeline of negotiated work—not living and dying by low-bid chaos
Real support from the office and a project team that backs you up
Company truck/allowance, per diem if needed, and competitive comp with benefits
