A catering group in Burke, VA is looking for a great Sous Chef to add to their team!
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable culinary role within the food service industry.
Skilled in large-scale plating, including the creation of grazing boards, fruit displays, and elegant platter presentations
Proven ability to manage high-volume catering operations and coordinate multiple large orders simultaneously
Posses a Valid Drivers License
Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including slicing fruits and vegetables, cutting meats, making sauces, and assembling both hot and cold entrées. Create visually appealing appetizers, charcuterie, grazing boards, sandwiches, and salads for box lunches.
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to cook and prepare menu items according to established standards.
Follow recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation.
Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
