Our client is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. The Company’s primary businesses focus on jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems and titanium structural parts necessary for mission-critical performance and efficiency in aerospace and defense applications, as well as forged wheels for commercial transportation.

The purpose of this position is to act as a business partner to the Plant Manager, directing the finance function at the newly constructed core manufacturing facility. This position reports to the Plant Manager with a strong dotted line to the Business Unit. Theya re looking for someone who is:

• Enterprise minded--understands the needs of the business and how decisions affect P&L, balance sheet and future capabilities, influences cap-ex based on broad business case

• Responsive expertise--prepared with information to help guide decision making both upon request and future planning based

• Coach/Mentor/Manager-- formally and informally develops others and contributes to talent factory strategy; provides direction, review, reassurance, encouragement, challenge, recognition on an individual basis; promotes growth and development in associates; inspires risk; continually assesses and reassesses talent and fit to role based on individual and collective performance

Key Responsibilities include:

• Direct the operation of accounting to provide adequate manufacturing systems

• Identifying key levers to drive business improvement and providing leadership to ensure implementation of business improvement opportunities

• Determine, in conjunction with plant management, targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitability

• Deploying business unit initiatives

• Forecasting, planning and analyzing business results

• Complying with Corporate and business unit financial reporting requirements

• Coordination of the capital appropriation process and post-project reviews

• Ensuring completion of our client’s Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls

• Supervising department employees

Qualifications:

• BS in Business Administration and/or Finance Accounting from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 7 years related financial/controllership work experience.

• At least 5 year’s supervisory experience with the ability to manage and develop Staff (Financial and Operational) preferred

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment in finance field

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

• MBA, CMA and/or CPA

• Plant Controller experience for a manufacturing facility with at least $150 million in annual revenues.

• High proficiency in using MS Office software, experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems, project management, multi-tasking and developing/executing data queries.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

• Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a high pressure/high intensity environment.

• Strong cost accounting skills – Multi level Routing and Bill of material Cost Accounting Experience.
