We are seeking a System Architect to be a part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and technical readiness of program and facility equipment.
The selected candidate will serve as the lead expert within the organization on network enhancements from both an infrastructure and hardware standpoint. This individual will work closely with the customer to provide experience-based technical expertise and recommendations.
This group helps provide technical expertise in support of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties. Your team members may troubleshoot system outages; coordinate with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness and minimize downtime.
Day to Day:
As a Network Architect, you will have the opportunity to play a critical role in designing and implementing cutting-edge network solutions.
You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network, enabling us to deliver exceptional services to our customers worldwide.
Network Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain network architecture, standards, and guidelines to support current and future business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions.
Network Security: Implement and manage network security including ports, protocols and services, policies, and best practices to safeguard the organization's data and infrastructure.
Routing and Switching: Design and optimize network routing and switching protocols to ensure seamless data flow and minimal downtime.
Network Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze network performance, identify bottlenecks and come up with strategies to optimize network efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, network implementation process, setting deployment schedules, participate in the configuration change process, and the planning and management of the entire system life cycle to include hardware and software solutions.
Must Haves:
Active Top Secret Clearance
Experience Required: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 13 years of experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
Experience or knowledge with the following: Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), MPLS, OSPF, Network Security, VMWare, Nexus, Architecture, Active Directory, Network Solutions, Network Infrastructure, SME, Juniper, Layer 3, IDS, QoS, Palo Alto, VoIP, Linux, LAN, Load Balancer, AAA, IPSec, Radius/TACACS+, TCP/IP, HSRP, VRRP, CCNA, CCNP, vSAN, Servers, Technical Support, Visio, Setup, Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, SNMP, and VLANs.
Security+ and CCNA (CCNP Preferred).
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements:
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
