Position Summary

The Data Center Sales Professional is responsible for driving sales and business development efforts for 2G Energy’s CHP and distributed energy solutions within the data center sector. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing strong relationships with data center operators, consultants, and engineering firms, and driving sales growth by positioning 2G Energy’s solutions as the optimal choice for reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable power generation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate and expand 2G Energy’s presence in the data center market.

Identify and engage key decision-makers, including data center operators, developers, engineering consultants, and facility managers.

Generate and qualify leads, manage the sales pipeline, and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.

Educate potential clients on the advantages of 2G Energy onsite power solutions, including energy cost savings, carbon reduction, and enhanced power resilience.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including colocation providers, hyperscale operators, and enterprise data centers.

Ability to travel extensively to customer sites, trade shows, engineering firms, industry conferences and partner locations to support sales efforts and build relationships throughout North America.

Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities.

Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for onsite power and CHP applications for data centers.

Work closely with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to align offerings with customer needs.

Provide input into product strategy and development based on customer feedback and market demand.

Collaborate with channel partners and EPC firms to support data center projects.

Maintain accurate sales forecasting and reporting in CRM systems.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the data center, energy, or power generation industry.

Proven track record of selling complex energy solutions, including CHP, backup power, microgrids, or related technologies.

Strong knowledge of data center energy needs, uptime requirements, and sustainability initiatives.

Ability to develop and execute sales strategies targeting the data center market.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.

Demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Work independently as well as in a team environment.

Demonstrate proactiveness with good problem-solving skills, judgement and innovation while maintaining a customer-focused mindset.

Strong understanding of CHP systems, distributed energy solutions, and power generation technologies.

Maintain a flexible schedule with significant travel as required.

Prioritize and schedule all work to meet deadlines and establish a sense of urgency when required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Valid Driver’s License and Passport.

Preferred:

· Existing relationships with data center operators, colocation providers, or hyperscale developers.

· Understanding of data center Tier standards, PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), and energy efficiency best practices.

· Knowledge of utility regulations, incentive programs, and carbon reduction initiatives.
