Job Description:

Our client is seeking a qualified contractor to provide desktop support services as part of their Incident Response Team. This is an on-site position located in a cubicle environment at a secure data center in Frankfort, KY.

This role requires a professional with solid technical troubleshooting abilities, a customer-first mindset, and a commitment to reliable support. The position includes face-to-face and remote user support, so strong customer service skills are equally important as technical capability.

Schedule Details:

Business Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday, 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Your Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Required Skills & Qualifications:

2–3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician

Strong knowledge in hardware/software troubleshooting and remote desktop support

Proficiency with Windows 10 operating system

Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook 2013 or newer)

Familiarity with Active Directory

Basic network troubleshooting including mapping drives and general NAS knowledge

Ability to support VPN tools like GlobalProtect

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including:

Empathy, patience, and professionalism

Ability to simplify technical explanations

Calm demeanor under pressure

Ownership mentality (not defensive or argumentative)

Must be able to lift and carry equipment and work in physically uncomfortable positions as needed

Excellent documentation and communication skills

Must be reliable and punctual

Preferred (Bonus) Experience:

Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems

Previous experience working in high-volume or fast-paced support environments

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well as part of a team-oriented support unit
