Position Overview:
Marathon TS is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, be able to assess costs and make recommendations for optimization, assist in onboarding new AWS tenants, and bring a positive and enthusiastic approach to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage advanced knowledge of AWS services and architectures (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) to ensure efficient, scalable, and secure cloud environments.
Estimate AWS service costs and make recommendations for optimizing infrastructure spend.
Provide clear, actionable insights to teams on cost-effective AWS configurations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AWS best practices are followed and offer recommendations on architecture and design improvements
Onboard new AWS tenants to help the team grow
Stay updated with the latest AWS developments, best practices, and industry trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team.
Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
In-depth understanding of AWS services
Proven ability to estimate AWS costs, identify areas for cost optimization, and provide actionable configuration recommendations.
DoD Top Secret Clearance
2 AWS Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools in AWS.
